The oldest rocks in Wales are a sixth of the age of Planet Earth, too young to preserve evidence for the series of drastic changes that miraculously went in our favour over the billions of years since the planet’s formation. These are Wales’ missing years. This is a story of the changes that resulted in a planet fit for advanced multicellular life.
